Le Marché 2026: Where Your New Home Begins
Imagine walking into one place and finding flooring, lighting, kitchens, furniture, and decor all side by side. No need to crisscross Cairo from shop to shop. That is exactly what Le Marché offers.

If you are getting ready to finish your apartment, thinking about renovating, or working in design and construction yourself, this date belongs in your calendar.
A Story Nearly Four Decades Old
Le Marché started in 1987 as a small event at the Semiramis InterContinental hotel, covering about 1,200 square meters. The idea was simple: one place where people could buy quality furniture and home furnishings.
Today it is one of the largest integrated exhibitions for furniture, materials, and home accessories in the Middle East and Africa. It runs twice a year: the summer round is called "La Casa," and the winter round is "Le Marché." The latest edition, in May 2026, was the 55th, with more than 250 exhibitors across more than 50,000 square meters.
Date and Venue
• Dates: October 29 to November 1, 2026
• Venue: Egypt International Exhibition Center, New Cairo
• Hours: Daily, 11 AM to 10 PM
Four days is enough to explore at a relaxed pace, but it helps to set your priorities before you go.

What Will You Find Inside?
The exhibition is not just furniture. These are the main sections worth visiting:
• Furniture of every kind: bedrooms, dining sets, corner sofas, and handmade pieces.
• Materials and finishing supplies: wood, flooring, surfaces, and accessories that make a difference in the final result.
• Lighting: from classic chandeliers to modern hidden lighting.
• Kitchens: designs, materials, and smart storage solutions.
• Furnishings and décor: curtains, rugs, and accessories that complete the picture.
• Interior and exterior design solutions: ready-made ideas to draw
inspiration from.
Who Visits Le Marché?
By the exhibition's own description, it welcomes more than 85,000 visitors and hosts more than 300 local and international brands. These visitors are not all alike, and that is what gives the place its energy:

• Couples-to-be: looking for a whole home with minimum effort and maximum choice, comparing before they pay.
• Apartment and villa owners: people in the middle of finishing or renovating, with a clear list of needs.
• Designers and engineers: looking for new materials and suppliers they can rely on for their clients' projects.
• Business owners and entrepreneurs: looking for supply deals, collaborations, and partnerships.
• Décor lovers: people who simply enjoy seeing what is new and collecting ideas, with no intention to buy.
The nice thing about this mix is that as you walk the aisles, you will overhear other people's questions and learn from them. Someone might ask about a material that never crossed your mind, or compare two exhibitors in a way that opens a new angle for you. In the end, the exhibition is not just exhibitors and products. It is a whole community built around the home and design.
Why It Matters If You Are Finishing Your Home
Here is the part that matters to anyone building or renovating. First, you see it with your own eyes. A material in a photo is one thing, and in your hand it is another. The feel of the wood and the color of a floor under real lighting make a big difference.
Second, you compare in one hour. Instead of a week of visits and phone calls, you can ask several exhibitors about the same item and see the difference in quality and price. Third, the offers. In the last round there were discounts of up to 50% and flexible payment plans. They may be repeated, or they may not, so ask directly. Fourth, inspiration. Sometimes you arrive not knowing what you want, and leave with an idea that changes your whole apartment's design.
Tips for a Better Visit
1. Make a list before you go. What you actually need, and a rough budget for each item.

2. Bring your measurements. Room, wall, and kitchen dimensions will save you a lot of trouble.
3. Photograph everything you like, along with the exhibitor's name. On your way home you will mix things up if you do not record them.
4. Ask about the details: warranty, delivery dates, and installation costs.
5. Wear comfortable shoes. The exhibition is huge, and you will walk a lot.
6. Do not buy from the first exhibitor. Walk around first, then decide.
For Professionals: A Business Opportunity, Not Just a Visit
If you are a designer, contractor, or workshop owner, this exhibition is a real opportunity. You will meet new suppliers, see the latest materials and techniques, and build relationships that can help your upcoming projects. Many deals and partnerships start with a conversation in an exhibition aisle.
Le Marché is not just a furniture show. It is a whole experience where ideas turn into decisions. Whether you are a groom-to-be furnishing his first home, an owner renovating an apartment, or a designer looking for what is new, you will leave with more information and clearer decisions. Grab a pen and paper, put on comfortable shoes, and we will see you there on October 29.
